DAY1

BODRUM

 

Bodrum is one of the best starts for sailing around the Aegean sea-coast of Turkey. The Gökova Cove is accepted by almost everyone to be one of the best cruising zones in Europe. With supperabundant sunshine, crystal clear glassy waters, endless blue skies which make your day better, good harbors and friendly, debonair people, This coast provides you many choices. There are many uncorrupted areas rich in natural beauty and in costal settlements and villages.

 

Bodrum is a port town in Muğla city, in the southwest of Aegean Region of Turkey. It is placed on the southern coast of Bodrum Peninsula, at a point that controls the entrance into the Gulf of Gökova. The city was known as Halicarnassus of Caria in ancient times and was known for housing the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

 Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 15th century, it had the view of harbor and the marina. The castle grounds include a Museum of Underwater Archeology and entertains many cultural festivals year long.

 

 

DAY2

 

ASPAT, CATALADA, GUMUSLUK

 

 

The Aspat Bay Link and the Venetian castle located atop a hill in Aspat are really worth seeing. There are numerous songs that have been dedicated to this famous castle, seen from far away on the Bodrum peninsula. The famous traveler, Evliya Celebi, mentioned Aspat in his travel book as the place blessed with fresh water.

Evliya Celebi also mentions the castle and its famous water source. A narrow footpath leads you up the hill to the ancient ruins of the castle, which was burnt centuries ago, but still bears a unique grandeur. Aspat is among the most popular destinations for boaters. There are many stone houses located on the beach. And there is more waiting for you!

Catalada, (known as Volo before) is a Turkish island settled in the Aegean Sea, 3 miles away from the town of Turgutreis, west of the Bodrum peninsula in southwest Turkey. An island with three cone-shaped mounts, its name means “fork-island” in the proper meaning of the word.  The island`s main mainstay is tourism industry, as cruises from the mainland are quite regular.

DAY3

 

ALTINKUM, CUKURCUK BAY

 

Altinkum means “gold sands” and with its wondrous beaches which softy list to the tempting turquoise blue Aegean, you will soon notice how the place got its name. There are incredible beach facilities on any of the three beautiful beaches, from water sports of different kinds to pedaloes for those who prefer the pace of life a bit slower... There are a lot of bars and restaurants very close by. The s

un-warmed waters along the beaches are mainly shallow for a couple of hundred metres and are ideal for children and non-swimmer.

 

Cukuruck locates at the north-west end point of the Cove of Gulluk. It presents a three-part bay secured from the wind. There is a great site in the east cove, which is shoal and the end of the beach is closed by a fish farm in a tiny bay in the west. Boats berth in the cove in the middle. The environment is calm and the sea is beautiful. Those who walk up the lighthouse can see vibrant mosaics partially covered with earth. From there, you can also go on a tour to the ancient cities of Didyma, Miletus and Priene.

 

DAY4

 

AKBUK BAY

 

Akbuk is one of the most beautiful bays in the region and is reminiscent of the Northern European. Located at the foot of thickly wooded mountains, Akbuk protects boats from the western and northwest winds. Akbuk features a wide and deep cove on the northern shores of the. Akbuk area is located in the middle of the sea, there is no cove to be found for shelter.

Descending from a height of 1000 meters and situated between the Kiran mountains and dense rows of pine trees is a gray rocky landscape that truly is a spectacle of nature! Since there is no construction allowed under the SEPA, the natural landscape does have a pristine beauty about itself. Here you can find gardens, a long beach with a walking trail along the coast and several open air restaurants with piers in front of them and rows of pine and olive trees - just perfect for a quiet walk, alone or with your partner!

 

DAY5

 

CAM LIMANI, KAZIKLI BAY

 

Cam Limani lies on the northern part of Kusadasi Gulf. There is clear water in the cove and olive trees surround it. Cam Limani is a well-known summer destination for visitors wanting to swim and to picnic beside the sea under the pine trees. In earlier times there were cafes along the water, but today the bay has fallen on hard times and consists of a rough beach, some little snack and soft-drink stands, and a football field. Every inch of this place is so lovely!

 

Kazikli is known for its fish farms, although many of them have now been closed. The east coats is rocky and open to the wind while the western beaches are lined with peaceful pine trees and feature a beautiful coastline of closely knit cove

 

 

  1. Although dozens of Gulets used to come here every night in the past, their numbers have reduced now. Pile is the main harbor in the north and has a wide cove, which acts as a shelter in any weather. So, we can say that it’s a place where everybody can find a part of theirselves.

 

DAY6

 

GOK LIMANI, SALIH ISLAND

 

 

Gok Limani, the stunning cove of the inviting Mugla city. This place is beautiful in every weather conditions in every season and this is one of the reason why the visitors want to see this beauty. The ground of the cove is sandy and sedgy. You can anchor up to 6-8 ms and best place to anchor in this cove is in the west area. The northern part of the cove is pretty shallow. You may want to stop by there while you’re having a good time in your Turkyacht Gulet.

Salih Island is a beautiful place in the Bodrum district of Muğla city and the pearl of the Aegean region of Turkey. It is located across the bay of Güvercinlik near Mugla-Bodrum highway. The hills in the eastern part of the island are covered with pine forests and the mountains are covered with olive trees. It is an ideal habitat for culture fishing and it’s said that there are many historical ruins in this island. It’s worth to see with your Turkyacht Luxury Gulet. 

DAY7

 TORBA, TURKBUKU  Torba is a very modish town in the territorial division of the Bodrum city, is worth to see but a small tourist resort. It has gravelly and sandy beaches, many brand-new hotels and drop-offs abundantly scented with herbs growing in the wild nature. There are many reminders of the past well worth seeing.

A wonderfully guarded round structure was built by the Lelegians more than 2500 years ago, it is probably a grave and crowns a high hill overlooking the town while the ruins of a Byzantine Monastery stand on the east side of the bay. Due to its proximity to Bodrum, Torba is a famous lunch and swimming point.  

Located 20 kms from Bodrum peninsula, Turkbuku has become one of the most famous coves. Even though it was only accessible via the sea route in the past, you can now reach Turkbuku through a 30-45 minutes bus ride from Bodrum. Discovered by artist groups, Turkbuku has now become a centre of amusement. There are several beautiful bars, night clubs, hotels and restaurants to be found here. Summer is the best time to travel to Turkbuku. You can enjoy a good swim or sunbathe on the beach and come back to a restaurant for a cool drink and fantastic lunch or dinner.

Yalikavak is located on the Northwestern area of the Bodrum Peninsula. Yalikavak is definitely the only village in Bodrum that grows in an uncontrollable speed and the one of the most popular part in Bodrum. A legend says that its name is a delineation to many poplar trees it once had. Today it is rather difficult to see poplar trees in the place, in opposition to its namesake. Indeed, its mounts are covered by oak forests for the most part. Yalikavak is proud to boost a 29 kms seaboard spotted with many teagardens, restaurants, cafes and is the breeziest place in the region. The yowls of endless winds almost never end in Yalikavak. The natives were fishermen and sponge divers until the recent past.
